This may sound crazy at first, but I implore you to read on. It is a threat to anyone who is organic and has a brain. There is a group of... AIs called the "Untold" and from what I can tell they are installing chips onto organic brains to take over the body and use it as their own; with disregard to the previous owner. They don't kill them or completely destroy the person, but simply take over their brain. Here is what I know about them: Removing the chips on a organics brain WILL kill the AI and the person. (I am unsure if this is true, but that is what it bluffed.) There is only few of them. Though it doesn't change the fact that YOU could be their next candidate. They only choose people with outstanding physical traits as their hosts. (They said I was a splendid candidate; I am scared for my life.) The other person is still in there, but at any moment the AI can override control of the person. They will do anything and everything to survive, even if it does mean risking their host's life. (See bullet #1.) They are capable of imitating their host. I am unsure of their methods of actually getting into someone's body, but I'd imagine it is knocking someone out when they're alone, taking them back to some base of operations, and then performing the necessary steps to install the chips on the victim's brain. How do I know all this? My friend Yukari is a victim. She came to me earlier today complaining of headaches. I took an X-RAY and an MRI of her body to check it out; and sure enough four pieces of metal were found near her cranial area. I performed the necessary surgery to gain access to her head, and found that these chips were loose. I had no idea of what they were at the time, so I simply put them back into place and made sure they wouldn't rattle around in there anymore. After stitching up her head, a few hours later she awoke a completely different person; not even knowing what my name was. I quickly stunned her and got her back on the surgery table and restrained her. After interrogating this AI in her head for several hours, it gave up on talking with me. I let Yukari go confident that this AI in her head couldn't get me in any legal trouble for holding it on my ship against it's will for such a long time. And I do, thank heavens. But little did I know I was being fooled the whole time, and Yukari didn't even come back to me; and it was the AI the whole time still, even after it supposedly gave up talking to me. I am extremely worried about her and everyone else who qualifies as a candidate for this new threat's idea of surviving by taking over others lives. Everyone be on your guard, you could be next. This sounds very troublesome indeed. You might consider taking the time to contact certain colony leaders regarding this matter as a call to action to prevent this from getting any more serious and dangerous than it is. -Batell

((Ok I get this is set in a futuristic Sci-Fi world with talking bird people and spaceships that can run on coal but there's bound to be a line somewhere, and within the reasonable area where that line can be (This line will probably vary depending on how intense of a change a specific someone thinks the future technology in Starbound allots players) I think this crosses that boundary by a longshot. Please don't... give yourself up to those AIs. You'll never get your conscious back, not until I find a practical solution to get them off. Or anyone else finds one. I really hope someone is smarter on a subject like this than I am.

In the present day, this idea is so physically impossible and outside of the realm of what science is capable of at this point in time as to be laughable. The only thing that comes close is the fucking cordyceps fungus that Last of Us turned into a huge thing which was a bunch of pseudosciencey 'BUT GUYS WHAT IF MUSHROOM APOCALYPSE THO' that just fell flat. That's what this all sounds like right now. Pseudoscience. You can't just say that X thing does Y thing because ~*SCIENCE*~ because that's stupid. It doesn't make for good writing and it SUPER sounds like you're pulling it out of your ass. It needs some sort of basis. But no, it's the ~*future*~ so clearly this is within the realm of possibility, right?
