(OOC: For the record, Erin writes much more eloquently than she speaks.)

So I picked this book off of a target a few years ago, before giving him
to the authorities. I was digging through my things today and, since I didn't
fine anything written in it whatsoever, I think I'm going to start writing in
it. Might even give it a name, like those Terran girls who pretend to write
to a friend, or something. Kinda kiddish, I know, but I really think I could
use this, maybe like one of those captain's logs. I'm wondering why I didn't
start one of them earlier, it'd have been a lot more useful than the notes in
my cockpit. And on the wall. And in my locker. And my table...hell, I think I
even posted one on that old woodblock print.

So you've probably figured out by now that I'm not really a girly-
girl, or dainty, or any of that. I'm a freelancer, a merc, and to be honest,
I've found it a bit difficult to pursue those things. I'm a total bitch, really.
It's just hard. I mean, I'm starting to think that spending the first twenty
years of my life being raised by a particular group of ultra-nationalists
was bad for my head. I mean, I learned a lot, but most girls didn't learn
what I did. A lot of them were probably going to school, or getting their
nails done, playing sports, having sex, etc. I mean, I had some friends,
but we did underground-militant-cell stuff. And after eight years in space
I am beginning to wonder how much of my childhood was stolen from
    me, you know?

*there are a few lines of scribbled-out writing*
Okay, I don't think this pen-pal thing is going to work. I'm talking to
a fucking book, for crying out loud. Oh man, my deepest feelings, poured
out in ink. Maybe I should be a poet. See, I can't even SOUND sarcastic.

    I take it all back.

Okay, so today, someone made me an offer I absolutely could not
refuse. Like at all. Really. So someone put out a call for bodies to fill a ship
roster, so I went ahead and checked it out, thinking, "it'd be nice to live off
of someone else's paycheck," you know?? Well, about left when I found out
that the ship wasn't scheduled to be completed for another week, when she
says that she's gonna pay us six grand a day. Six thousand pixels. I think
my heart skipped a beat or something. I don't even know what this ship is
called, but screw it!! I'm going to ride this horse all the way to the rodeo.

I really have no idea how that saying goes. I really don't. I'm awful.

The captain is really starting to piss me off. I'll write more in the
morning, because the last few days have been some of the most frustrating
I've had in a long, long time. Seriously. I need a moment. I think the saying
goes forty moments, or something like that.

I just checked. It's forty winks. Stars.

Rested. Gonna keep it short, as writing about it is just gonna piss me off
again. She took an unfinished ship out of port. Warped to the wrong planet,
said we were going to build a base. Warped to another planet. Apparently
this was the right one. We wiped out a splinter faction of some Apex group
(which I do not feel bad about, they shot at us first) and now she wants to
set up a base there, in the (former) Apex base. Then I ask her why we're
doing all of this, and she bitches at me for asking, and then it turns out she
doesn't know WHAT she's doing, she just wants to do it, she says.

Apparently, She's the daughter of someone incredibly wealthy,
and apparently, also has great investments. Sure. Whatever. So, an aimless
dive, with no reward whatsoever when the dust settled, and now we're the
renovation crew. There is no way in hell I'm sticking around for the end of
this, but I plan to milk that daily 6k as long my patience bears.

There are two bounty targets on Princess' (that's what I call the
captain) ship. I can hardly believe it. One's listed at 50k on a USCM
forum, but the other isn't. I'm assuming they're worth the same amount,
though, especially if the latter hadmanaged to escape notice long enough
to not be listed. Or maybe they're just a wannabe. Thing is, the ad says
they're both ex-USAF, so I might need a bit of help on this one. Holding
onto one shouldn't be a problem, especially if I managed to snatch them
with my Ronin...but if they have any sense of cameraderie, the other will
be a dangerous loose end to tie up.

Princess needs to run a background check next time she sifts out a crew.
