Evelynn is my main character right now, the one I'm looking at playing as, when (optimistic lack of if!) my application gets accepted. She's a Glitch, and she used to be a Blacksmith, and then a Merchant. She spent a large portion of her life taking care of the family and descendants of her best friend, a human that flew her off of her doomed planet, if unintentionally. She lost the twins Milly and Gerard in a pirate raid of their ship, and couldn't find them again. Now she aims to find a new home, set up a living, and, with hope, find a family to be a part of. Her fondest memories are of her family via Mark, and now she wants another, and to be better able to protect them this time. I'm not using this thread to find the characters to be her new family, or anything of the sort, really; but I'm looking for advice on which colony I should join, or if I should make my own, considering that the ones that exist now may not be the best choice for her. (Some of them really don't suit her, and others are kinda half and half.) On the flip side, it doesn't seem that there's a huge amount of players on many of the colonies, so perhaps joining one is the best choice? Hmm. Who knows? Well, you might. Which is why I made this thread, to plan out what to do to make the most out of roleplaying with you all. <3
Blacksmith, eh? Tetanus seems to be one of the only colonies that actually mines ores and refines em. I'm Crowliss, Korpser of the Boards on Tetanus. While there, you can also get a good view of the politics on the server, as it is being occupied by The Ressufat Armada. Anyway, Tetanus seems like a nice place to start off at with a Blacksmith.
I HEARD THAT but on topic I'd recommend looking into Taranis if you want more of "your kind", meaning Glitch. You don't have to join the Order unless you want to and it'd let you roleplay with some other experienced Glitch players. Otherwise, I'd suggest exploring the various colonies and seeing what works for you and your character. Have fun!
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! Tetanus sounds like a good start, although it's unlikely that I'll stay there due to the eventual need of a community with a couple other races (due to the plot point of my character's life needing a biological family at some point or else something will have to happen to make her rethink her current goals). Dr. Frohman, I'm seeing you a lot lately. Hope to get a chance to RP with you and see what your characters are really like. Same goes for everyone on the server, of course, but I doubt I'll get everyone.
