I enjoy the idea of Antares as the IC wing of our galactic frontier; not so much for the server name though, as it's an allusion to an ill-repute star. But! We should use something that is the binding glue of all the players, something online, something easily referable to, something -everyone- is aware of upon visiting the site. "Starnet-SBRP"? I'm sure we're not the only one's using the name Starnet for our online interactions, but easily the biggest population of Starnet users; could pin that as our brand and image. Nice bit of meta-play, clever little thing of noodling with ARG type stuff. People are drawn to clever little things like this, and it's easier than hell to remember.
But it doesn't look good. At least, I don't think so. Looks blocky, heavy. I also don't want to mix IC and OOC when it comes to our name.
Actually, now that I think about it, just using Starnet would be a perfect name. You don't have to mix the canon between them: Starnet can remain what it is, but the name of this website can still be Starnet to match the namesake of the site everyone uses to communicate with each other. It's simple, it's straight to the point, and it works perfectly.
Just plain StarNet would work as a working title; the extra text could be expressed below in smaller letters.
If you still have the raw image files, you could just swap the letters with Starnet and whatever bottom text is included. I'd actually advise going against changing that logo, since not only a lot of people are familiar with it, but it's also a dang good banner for this community, and fits the rest of the forum theme. It's super professional.
Hence "StarNet" as the community name, "StarNet; Starbound Roleplay" as a header title. I think it flows well and easily, and no banner change, ehh? Cause that banner is very clean and theme-molding, gives a good general vibe to the kind of community we enjoy.
How about.... the playstarboundrp server?! XD haha that's a joke. Antares sounds like a good name because while it being an IC name, ooc it could just be Antares server..... like people refer to roleplays by their location sometimes. OR here's other suggestions: Antares Roleplay Community Starbound Community Roleplay.... erm ..... Really can't think of anything else... just seems like Antares is the name to go by, and we are it's roleplay community, so...
