from what I can tell, you're supposed to introduce yourself when you join a community.
    So hello.
I look forward to RPing with you.

Just out of curiosity, can anyone give me the rundown of the general community?
    What's it like here?

I can't give you a full run-down, but I can tell you some general stuff.
    1. Alot of people accept that pixels are valued at 1 pixel 1 dollar, so in another persons words, if you were to go to a Bar looking to purchase some liquor, you'd pay 10 or so pixels, ICly, you'd emote it out, instead of actually needing it. But if you go crazy with it publicly (Mostly on the forums) you'll have alot of characters pointing towards your character and saying they're counterfeiting, refusing to do business with them.
    2. The server is consent-based and it's in the Code of Conduct to ask for permission before doing anything dastardly in a Colony, that includes lockpicking a door or stealing a golden vase from a shelf. Speaking of that, there are multiple Colonies your character could likely find themselves at in the future, and they could apply for a home, refuge and/or faction on their forum page, purely IC.
    3. The Market/Trade section is a good place to find people looking for arranged RP or looking for work, if your character is the type, he could make a thread there detailing that he's looking for work, but he'd probably have better luck doing so over public radio. (IG Galaxy chat)
    4. Don't stress, keep an open-mind, be polite, and ask the Moderators before doing anything you aren't sure about, or if someones causing problems with you. follow the CoD while doing this and you won't run into any problems at all if my experience holds up.
    5. It's great here.
Only point 2 and 4 are actually necessary and could've been learned from the Code of Conduct just as well as from me, the other two are just some simple information.

Refer to the Player-guide section, and if possible (The CoD touches on this) try not to talk OOC on one of the IC boards.

One of our members, Tacc, made a rather simple but good starters guide you can use, this server is really easy to get into if you follow the rules.

is his Guide, I recommend taking a look at it, then if you want to read some more, Kazi's guide is pretty comprehensive and very helpful for newer and older Roleplayers alike.

And please keep in mind, this is just information, i'm actually making this out to be alot more strict and stuff than it really is, it's really loose.

Between Taccs guide, the CoD, and some Colonies/Threads, you'll have a pretty good idea what to expect of the server down, but you probably could've just got accepted and learned all of this in a week or so through just playing, I enjoyed typing this out so thank you!

    Welcome to the server.
