He looked slighty more satisfied, reaching at the back of the camera, murmuring inaudibly. There is a seperate male voice in the background. LOG 2 --video feed-- >> timestamp: a day after previous log << [[ Gale, still sporting the same haircut, was seated in front of the camera, clearing his throat. He looked tired as usual, holding a cup of coffee in his hands. He took a sip from his coffee, before placing it on a nearby table, looking straight at the camera, but the eye contact soon breaking off. "My name is Gale Brooke Dallas, 24 years of age. Stardate-- oh, who needs that, there's timestamps..." He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck, mumbling. "Well... I decided to start a... journal, of sorts? Some video logs, some audio logs..." He did little hand motions as he talked, but most of the time just twiddling his thumbs. He had much trouble to even keep eye contact on the camera. "Zed's asleep. Ship's purring. We're heading to the Beta sector, maybe we'll find it there." He looked around, then shrugged. "I'll update more soon, I guess." LOG 3 --audio feed-- >> timestamp: a week after previous log << " Searched a lot of planets at B-Sec. Nothing, in every biome imaginable, nothing. Moving on to G-Sec. If nothing's at Gamma too... I'll have to go ahead to Delta. Zed can't even get up now. -he sighs- That doctor was probably a quack, but I'm desperate. I can't let him die, I love him."
LOG 29 --audio feed-- >> timestamp: a month after previous log << "I'm running out of fuel cells. Been running around D-Sec for a long while... I might have to get a starmap upgrade to X." -there are sounds of the recorder shifted around, and a mumbling seperate male voice, barely audible- "What? Yeah, yeah, hang on--" -his voice is cut short as the feed ends-
LOG 37 --audio feed-- >> timestamp: 2 weeks, 4 days after previous log << -his voice sounded tired and frustrated- "Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. I can't find it, I can't find that stupid fucking plant." -he mocked a voice- "Oh, It's common! You'll find it." "I hope that fucking quack scammer is happy with what he did. If you wanted to rob us of voxels, go the fuck ahead, but don't rob our only hopes left." -there was an eerie silence, just heavy breathing, and the ship's system sounds, until light sobbing is heard, and there are sounds of the recorder shifted around, before the feed ends-
LOG 38 --video feed-- >> timestamp: 3 days after previous log << [[ Gale had longer hair, this time in a different cut, but it wasn't dyed. He was quiet, fidgeting and looking around, awkwardly trying to say something, but stopping himself again. This went on for 2 minutes straight. LOG 39 --audio feed-- >> timestamp: 4 days after previous log << -There are only muffled sounds of Gale sobbing, muttering curses under his breath, for five minutes straight. There is eventually the sound of the recorder being picked up.- "I-is this r-recording? Sh-shit." -There is a click and the feed abruptly ends.-
LOG 40 --audio feed-- >> timestamp: 15 hours after previous log << -Gale's voice was stuttery, but frighteningly cold, monotonous and sober- "Zed's b-been sleeping i-in a lot, l-lately. He d-doesn't even w-want to get u-up for c-coffee." -The audio feed abruptly ends.-
LOG 45 --audio feed-- >> timestamp: 3 days after previous log << -Gale had the same, cold and monotonous but stuttery voice.- "Th-there must be some k-kind of oil leak or something. Ship h-has been starting to smell. Zed m-must be r-really tired. F-feeling under th-the weather, p-perhaps. H-he won't get out of b-bed even wh-when I cook his f-favourites." -The feed ends.-
LOG 46 --audio feed-- >> timestamp: 12 minutes after previous log << -He sounded more scared, but still tried to stay monotonous- "Sh-ship scanners m-malfunctioning. S-saying only o-one living lifeform o-on the ship." -The feed ends.-
SECURITY CAM (KS-A11) FOOTAGE --video feed-- >> timestamp: 5 years, 4 days after previous log << [[Gale is seen putting on the helmet of his space suit, then goes off screen. When he returns, he is slowly dragging a stasis pod with a decomposing body of a male floran, who may have died some time ago, slowly, towards the airlock. He walked up to the pod and seemed to be saying things to the corpse as he tapped on the glass, then shook his head and slowly returns to dragging the stasis pod along, slamming the airlock button with his elbow. He steps in, and the airlock doors closed.]] SECURITY CAM (KS-A12) FOOTAGE --video feed-- >> timestamp: 15 minutes after previous footage << [[Gale is seen in the spacesuit, desperately holding on the stasis pod in zero-G as the doors to the engine room open. He rushes in, and hurriedly closed the door, quickly dumping the pod there. The whole area goes through the decontamination process, and he slowly takes off his helmet. He hooks it on some supports directly feeding on the engine's energy. He starts speaking, and you can hear his voice crack and break.]] "I-It's been f-five years since y-you stopped breathing. But I kn-know you're not dead. I w-won't believe that. I l-love you." [[He puts on his helmet, and exited the engine room.]]
