Well, for the latter there's this thing called 'chemistry'... And with psychic powers I really don't think so. Telekinesis is impossible cuz the brainwaves emitted by your brain are nothing more than radio waves and have no significant physical effects such as lifting objects. You could try and do something like the 'biotics' used in the Mass Effect, which is still really sketchy at best, or use some powerful magnets to push or pull materials that are sensitive to an EM field like metals and plasma.
An ancient alien technology would work right? Something that emulates psychic power (nerf'd down to prevent godmoding, of course d: ) would be ok, right? I want to RP a mage-esque character, so an ancient technology would be acceptable as long as I don't make it too OP, right?
