Can we name Phaze a national hero? Maybe give him like thirty unique badges?

The basic recolouring of the Novakid isn't working as intended.
When trying to apply a custom it only colours 50% of the Novakid.
Else I'm doing something wrong and mess up, please tell me the step to fix this :)

Novakid coloring seems to be working as intended for me. The way the game is set up lets you recolor the "body" and "hair" separately. While Novakids are technically one big body, I didn't want to change this functionality in case someone actually wanted different colored "hair" on their Novakid. When you're coloring the Novakid you have to change the hair slider to match the body slider.

Unless you're talking about something completely different, in which case could you take a screenshot please?

I've had trouble with working with Novakids, but there's more than just the body variable you change. I eventually figured it out.

    Yes.
Add a new channel in advanced, select the colour you want to change with the left selection, then with the right selection you apply a new colour.

    Got a suggestion too.
Is it possible to make a new program of SBSE to recolour weapons from the .JSON file that Starcheat can export?

Then perhaps later, allow the possibility to cycle between weapon parts.

There's a way to recolor parts in Starcheat without the need of external mods. I personally don't do it, though. I haven't given it a shot, recoloring weapons.
Usually the stuff I make is from a custom PNG using a kool tool. (which i will not name because we feel special knowing it ourselves ;u; )

See, and that is why there should be an addition to the program I suggested.
Because colouring through Starcheat is a pain and not for everyone.

Unless you are willing to share your information to enable others to create what they wish.

recoloring and editing the look of weapons has been on my long term checklist for SBSE for a while, I will definitely have that option at some point.

I have a new release coming up that fixes quite a few outstanding bugs. I wanted to have it up last weekend but I've been quite busy. My brother is visiting this weekend but if I get time I'll try to get it up, otherwise Tuesday night will likely be when I release it.

Will recoloring back wear be a feature? Cuz that'd be really neat.

I'm pretty sure that you already can recolor back wear. I've done it a dozen times.

My guess would be that the new stuff is too advanced for a browser version, and if the browser version just got restored to what it was it wouldn't be compatible with new versions.
