A lot of people are aware of this problem now but it seems that sometimes, the visual effect of the brush wears off and you have to reequip it again in order to maintain the appearance. Happens every 5 minutes or so. Can't wait for the custom launcher

 

I'd like to say two things:
1) Custom launcher is waaaay waaay far away, because I don't have the money to hire some programmers to make it for us.
2) We may have to suspend the vanity pack for a bit if server lag issues continue, to see if it's not the root of the problem.

 

I doubt the lag that has been persistent five ever is being caused by these items. I think the lag is either beyond our control or is the sheer amount of people. Move it to Canada and I bet you the lag will improve, or htere will be no change because shitty code optimization.

 

I'm inclined to agree, it doesn't seem much better or worse since the modpack, and it adds so much more to the server that I'd rather deal with some lag than be rid of it.

 

I haven't seen a significant uptick in lag, but I have seen an uptick in crashes. I could see how mod incompatibility could cause that. As neat as this is, if it's the root of the problem its worth at least letting it slide for a bit to see if we get a performance difference.

 

While I standby my statement, if it is related to crashes I'm inclined to agree

 

I suppose there would be no harm in testing if it is or not.

If we choose to stick with it, I have something I will be contributing to this soon.

 

Just saw a confirmed colony wide crash cause one guy had the pack and no one else did. Effective genocider. I will miss you Ashe with beard and retinal display.

Idk, I took of my item and I have experienced little to no lag while finishing up my ship.

 

Alas, poor Vanity Pack! I knew it, Aiko; a pack of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy; It hath borne me a backpack a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is!
