This is a very productive conversation we're having here.

But because some people appear to have difficulty discerning internet sarcasm (albeit obvious) from seriousness, the server will be "reset" at the exact same time for everyone. It wouldnt make sense to keep people from joining just because they read a message late. This is, of ourse, assuming you were serious when you said...

 

Is there any way to save planets/colonies that have been built upon heavily, or is it best to simply stop, wait till the wipe, and begin anew on said project?

 

I would do it after the wipe, if you want the colony to last more than 3 days.

 

Since the wipe could have adverse affects on my character's life depending how it is carried out, it would be neat if I could know at least a bit about what's gonna happen so that I can plan things out. Do I need to wait or would it be alright if we/I were given a little info?

 

I was asking mire along the lines if staff had any plans to save planet files and transfer them to the new universe map.
