Regent Voting Discussion

If we made a spreadsheet of affiliations for removing "Affiliated votes", we would be at this for the entirety of Kazyyk's break.

Personal suggestion: Just pick one, Kaz. As fair a democracy would be, you're the one running the server.

 

Agreed. If the right to vote is being rescinded. This isn't a democracy, so don't treat it like one.

Pick a regent.

As someone who's been here since day two.. my best advisement for you is to think long and hard and pick who you think the most qualified individual is. Your intentions are good with the voting, but the method is flawed, at least in my eyes.

 

Option 1: Realize there are no faction aflliations and reinstate votes, at this point I don't care if I'm not allowed to have mine [which was given back but forced me to vote one way or not at all] as about 6 others were ripped away due to whining about non-existent favoritism.

Option 2: Cease the poll and pick a regent, and don't maintain illusions of choice that don't exist.
Instead just choose who you feel can actually do the job the best.

 

I'll talk to each candidate personally and see what I think.
I have bad memory, and don't know their in-game behavior, so it'll be based entirely on my conversations with them.

 

I'd also like to add, this isn't some retarded coup attempt by the "evil USAF." We're not trying to throw someone we love into "power" so we can pull his strings. We are picking someone who we believe has the best interests of the server in mind.

 

Doesn't matter how often you say it. People will think what they force themselves to believe.

 

Honestly, this is plain Steam/Skype chat, it's unnecessary to make a post out of it. (Couch shouldn't have said anything on the matter in the first place either.)

Key, I don't mean to be rude. But your blind if you've never noticed preconceived judgements bleeding into IG RP, especially against the USAF despite however much they did or didn't do. But that's a whole nother can of worms I won't get into in this thread.

 

This is not a n IG RP talk. If you guys start speaking of it when nobody has made any mention it seems it's you the ones looking for a fight.

It stinks (not in the bad sense) as an election ad/interview.

1 looks like a job application.
1 looks like a half-hearted "just cause"
1 looks like a speech for class president.

I based the majority of my vote on those, and while the voting is no longer a big thing, I hope the debates take that into account.
