Latest reports are in from a contracted investigation that found that multiple small Avian settlements have been wiped out over the past five years. They remained unreported because of their locations on fairly remote planets but the investigation has surfaced previously unkown information via special techniques, including word of mouth.

Questioning of local authorities in the areas around the settlements have revealed that most, if not all of them had been affiliated with the mysterious Avian religious sect known as the "Stargazers". Further questioning revealed that none of the settlements had a population larger than twenty.

Harker Thomas, the lead investigator on the team believes the investigation will make slow progress but some headway has been made.

"We had difficulty denoting who or what had killed them, especially since their corpses often went undiscovered for years due the secret nature of the villages. Autopsy reports have concluded that each death was caused by a sharp blade which rules out possible animal incursion. The most troubling thing is that all the deceased were missing their heads." He said in a local press conference.

One of our live journalists is currently gathering details of a newly discovered attack on another Avian settlement. Local Authorities are currently on scene. Initial observations indicate that the crime scene is only a few hours old at the time of statement. There are no reported survivors with an estimated thirteen Avian dead. The suspect was not spotted at the scene but evidence of struggle and a shootout is present, indicated that the suspect met some resistance during the attack. It is not confirmed if the suspect is the same one responsible for the other attacks noted in the last five years but it is likely due to how similar this attack is to the others.
