Hakachi was backed up against a wall, shouted at, and then had this person threaten to kill her. She didn't slash anyone's eyes with glass, at least not intentionally. She will be punished but the circumstances where that she had her life threatened, and then simply tried to get the person who moments before threatened to kill her in a position were no longer a danger to her will be taken into account.

I heard a very different story. The human approached Hakachi and said very threatening things, yes, but otherwise posed no physical threat to your tribemember. Hakachi threw the first punch. When the human still didn't make any moves to fight back, she then kicked him in the chest. Is this story wrong? Even after being restrained by the Hylotl behind the bar she still tried swinging. This sounds like a case of a lost temper rather than self-defense.
The human openly threatened to try and kill Hakachi. He himself described himself as a mortal threat to Hakachi whilst having her backed up against a wall. Hakachi neutralised the threat. Don't threaten to kill someone and then put yourself between them and the exit.
