The Scientific Society of Antares (SSA): Greetings to you, my fellow scientists of the Antares sector. My name is Oak. Some of you may know me from my research on the Floran and Glitch physiology while others may recall me working for the Order or the Ailanthus tribe quite a while back or you may not know me at all. I like to think that I am a pretty well-rounded scientist, with a broad field of knowledge, but my main fields of expertise are biology and mechanical engineering. After some deliberation I have decided to attempt to create a collaborative society for scientists in Antares. My personal motivation to put this into motion is that I, however knowledgeable I may think I am, am naturally unable to specialise in every scientific field. Because our days are unfortunately limited, as are the resources available to us on the frontier, it would be rather challenging to continue operating on my own for bigger projects. So as I previously stated, this organisation would be created to facilitate collaboration between scientists of the sector. Now that introductions and motivations are out of the way, I would like to formally invite the brightest minds of our sector to join me in this society. Because of the nature of the frontier, it is rather hard to regulate and control what people do. This is why I've come to the decision that this organisation would stay neutral in any and all faction matters. If the invitation to the society would be well-received amongst members of the scientific community, I'd like to slowly build up our resources and expand this group. Though because this group is still in its concept phase there are no guidelines yet. If we are to expand in the future I'm certain we, as a scientific community can restructure the organisation to fit the needs of our members. The society would not impose a lot of obligations to its members as I plan to uphold a founding principle of independance for the indivual. Currently one is not obligated to swear their allegiance to this group, as it may impede with their current allegiances, and otherwise this could be an obstacle for any interested scientists that are already currently employed elsewhere, though I would highly encourage some form of commitment to the society. As I stated before, I plan to, if the conditions allow it, expand this group in the future. Though unfortunately I am not wealthy enough fund this organisation on my own. I will open a funds, where one is able to donate to the society, which may lead its growth. Members who see the merit of an organisation of this sort are encouraged to share some of the monetary gain they received from being in the society, but I'd like to stress once more that one is never obligated to do so. I'd be willing to share my facilities with members of the society, in order to facilitate cooperation. If the society is able to expand the issuers regarding leadership and the general guidelines to its members will be brought up and I'm certain we'll be able to come to an understanding then. As of now I act as founder of this group, but I will not hold any real power. I will attempt to keep record of the finances of the society, which at this point is just a funds. As will I attempt to keep track of any collaborations between members, if they decide to share their research and I will try to act as a contact point between members and other parties. However if members would prefer to stay anonymous, they will be consulted before I would share their contact information with other members or potential clients. As founder I am of course obligated to take the concerns, requests and opinions of other members into consideration and promise to act in the best interest of the Scientific Society of Antares. I sincerely hope this invitation will be well-received and I can't wait to meet the other like-minded individuals of the Antares Sector and collaborate with them. Collaboration is good. If this picks up, I may be interested in working together, even providing facilities to work. Until then, I'll be keeping an eye on this. I'm hopeful. -Greg
I am both happy to hear that you're interested, and then sad to see you choose to keep an eye out. In order for this project to take off it is required to people actively participate. However as I stated before, it is fully up to you. I may have some things that I'll need examined by some experts in fields that aren't my forte. Basically what I'm saying is that you've got another supporter.

You can count me in for your little society thing, I'm an expert on human physiology, and I know enough about Florans, Hylotls, Avian, and Apex to do anything but the most complicated procedures.
